GENERAL
- Order of the Arrow REGISTRATION (Dues)
- Registration expires December 31 of every year
- Dues are $10.00 per person
- You must be currently registered in the Boy Scouts of
America
- If you do not re-register, you cannot take part in OA
functions nor will you get any mailings
- OA ELIGIBILITY:
- Elections take place before June each year
- First Class Scout Rank before the election
- 15 nights of outdoor camping within past 2 years
- Must include 5 consecutive nights long-term resident
camping
- Must include 10 nights of overnight, short-term BSA
camping
- Must have approval of the Scoutmaster
- Must be elected by 50% of Troop Scouts casting a Ballot
- These requirements can be located on the OA Official

- ELECTIONS:
- Spring of each year, before June 1.
- NO elections will be held at camp.
- ALL elections MUST be done by a lodge trained election
team
- Will be held during the regular Troop Meeting

- OA CALLOUT CEREMONY:
- Held during Texas Trails Summer Camp
- Fellowship Weekends:
- Usually will provide opportunities for Ordeal and/or
Brotherhood

ELIGIBILITY
- ORDEAL ELIGIBILITY
- Properly elected by your unit
- Attend the full Ordeal Weekend, starting Friday evening
through Sunday morning.

- VIGIL ELIGIBILITY/REQUIREMENTS
- Two years of cheerful service since attaining Brotherhood
- Nominated by other current Brotherhood and Vigil members
- Selected by a selection committee based upon a ratio of no
more adults than youth
- Maximum number to be selected is based upon lodge membership
of 1 for every 50 members registered during re-charter
